Additionally, leveling kits can improve your truck or SUV’s handling, as well as eliminate the sag caused by heavy loads, including winches and plows. The DisadvantagesThere are several disadvantages to suspension leveling kits, including the additional cost, since it is not a stock item. Additionally, as with any change to a truck or SUV's stock design, there may be some increased safety issues. To reduce the risks, only allow a certified mechanic to install your suspension lift.
