GMC YukonThe GMC Yukon is a full-size SUV and is the GMC version of the Chevrolet Tahoe. It also shares its underpinnings with the Chevrolet Suburban and the GMC equivalent of the Suburban, the GMC Yukon XL. The Yukon is available as a two-wheel drive or four-wheel-drive model and comes in three trims: SLE, SLT and the Denali. Most recently, GMC added a Hybrid version into the mix. Engine: The base 2WD model comes standard with a 4.8L V-8 and a four-speed automatic transmission. The 5.3L V-8 and the six-speed automatic are available as options. A 5.3L V-8 is standard on all other models except the Denali, which comes with a 6.2L V-8. The six-speed automatic transmission is standard with the 5.3L and 6.2L V-8 models. There are E-85-capable versions of the 5.3L V-8. Gas Mileage: For the 4.8L 2WD model, mileage is expected to be 14 mpg city and 19 highway. In the 5.3L-equipped 2WD version, mileage is estimated to be 14 city and 20 highway, and in 4WD models 14 city and 19 highway. The 6.2 L 2WD model is listed at 12 city and 19 highway, while the AWD variant comes in at 12 city and 18 highway.
